Before you call: we handle the water supply lines inside your home and under its slab. Pool and spa leaks, irrigation and sprinkler lines, and gas lines are not work we take on. A leak under the floor, below the foundation or behind a wall is.
How old is the copper under an Anaheim Hills floor?
It depends which side of the hills you live on. Master-planned construction began in 1971, and in 92807, the western ZIP, the median home dates to 1976. Seven in ten homes there were built before 1980. That puts most supply lines in those slabs at fifty years old or close to it. Copper that age can wear thin, and a pinhole in an old copper line is the slab leak we find most often. You notice it as a warm patch of floor, a water meter that moves with every faucet closed, or a bill that climbs for no reason.
Farther east, 92808 grew later. In 1990 the city approved East Hills and The Highlands along Weir Canyon Road, and the median home in 92808 was built in 1992. Those lines are younger, so a leak there tends to start at a joint or a damaged spot, not from age. Water from the city’s own utility runs hard. The 2026 Anaheim Public Utilities report put local groundwater at 316 parts per million and imported water at 235. Hard water coats water heaters and shutoff valves with scale, and those parts can leak too, so we test them before we point at the slab.

What leak problems do Anaheim Hills homeowners call us about?
Most calls fit one of three jobs. In each one we pin down the leak first, then open as little as we can.
Slab Leak Detection & Repair
Water escaping from a pipe sealed inside the concrete. We work out which line broke, then bypass it with new PEX, a flexible plastic supply line, routed through the attic. The slab stays in one piece.
- Hot or cold side confirmed
- Listening done on the pipes
- Reroute above, concrete untouched
Hidden Water Leak Detection
A soft spot in the drywall, a ceiling stain, or a damp smell you can't trace. Hidden water leak detection in Anaheim Hills means following that sign back to the leaking pipe, then fixing it, usually through one small cut.
- Behind walls, over ceilings, under sinks
- Pressure test to prove the leak
- One small opening where it counts
Emergency Leak Response
Water on the floor or dripping through a light fixture. First we stop it. Then we track down the source.
- On site within 60 minutes
- Supply shut off, spread stopped
- Source found once it's safe
What happens when we test an Anaheim Hills home for a slab leak?
Four steps, in the same order every time. Nothing is cut open until the tests agree on the line that failed.
Watch the meter
We turn off every faucet and fixture. A healthy system leaves the meter still, so movement means water is escaping. Next we close the house shutoff. A meter that stops points to a leak inside the home. A meter that keeps going points to the pipe from the street.
Rule out hot or cold
We close the cold supply into the water heater. When the leak sign fades, a hot line is to blame. When it stays, the cold side is. A warm floor is a clue, not proof, so we test before we decide.
Listen on the pipe, then pressure test
Our listening gear goes on the pipe itself: at shutoffs, at the water heater and on any exposed run. We don't listen through the floor, because concrete dulls the sound. A gauge on a hose bib then proves the leak a second way. Thermal imaging is only a backup check.
Repair what makes sense
When the bad line sits in the slab, we abandon it and run new PEX through the attic. When the leak is at a valve, the water heater or inside a wall, a spot repair is often the better fix. You see the plan and the price in writing first.

What do homeowners say about our leak repairs?
Real Google reviews from people who called us about a slab leak or a hidden leak.
Hi, I want to personally thank Sergio and Levi for a masterful, well-done job. I had a slab leak. Quite honestly, I had a good idea as to where the leak was because of evidence of it in the form of hot water right next to the kitchen outer side wall and some warm porcelain kitchen floor tiles in the general area as well. I helped as much as I can. I also provided a location for a branch that was never utilized for an optional bar. They ended up using that branch to tie in the 3/4" PEX, rather than tying in it at the water heater which would have been another 10 feet away in the garage. They worked very well as a team, and they were very detail oriented by providing foam insulation for the PEX and replacing an 8' span of 1/2" copper pipe aside from all else. The ceiling sheet rock was carefully cut out and saved (11 pcs.) so that it may be utilized again. Moreover, Sergio was inciteful to leave, when possible, some exposed floor joists around the perimeter of the cuts in order to facilitate the sheet rock repair down the line. I will use this company and them again if the need arises. I am presently a bit more partial with Sergio and Levi and will request them if possible. Moreover, since they have a general understanding of the house and its plumbing.
I've recently suffered a slab leak and then an unrelated leak. I used Cali's Choice for the first problem and they were great. Sergio was the lead, and was very upfront, courteous and did very good work…attention to detail. That experience was great so I called Sergio again for our last problem. Our experience was the same - great. I would recommend Sergio and Cali's Choice to anyone.
This guys are really good. From now on these are my go to plumbers. I had a hard to find water leak in my upstairs bathroom. I had another plumber look for the leak and he gave up after 3 hours, even if he all the right equipment. Sergio was very thorough in his search for the leak. After looking for it with camera and listening to the pipes he told me that he had to open up the wall, probably in more than one place. He was able to find the leak in first attempt, and fixed the leak with minimum damage to the house. Amazing job.
Will insurance cover a slab leak? We help you make the claim.
Your adjuster will ask for evidence. We gather it, send it and answer the carrier's questions, so you don't have to guess what they need.
- A written cause of loss that names the failed line, its material and how it broke.
- Photos with dates and labels: the test readings, the opening we made and the broken pipe.
- An itemized repair scope that explains why we chose a reroute when we did.
- We talk to your adjuster directly and follow up when they ask for more.
- Drying out and rebuilding wet floors or drywall is a separate restoration scope, not on our plumbing invoice. We record that damage for your claim.
How much does slab leak repair cost in Anaheim Hills?
No web page can price a slab job before the testing is done. These are the things that raise or lower the figure on your written quote.
What moves the price
How many lines failed
A single reroute is the simplest job. When more than one line is going, a bigger reroute or a full repipe can be the better value.
How old the pipe is
In a home from the 1970s, one leak often means the rest of that copper run is thin as well. That can change our advice.
The attic and the pipe run
A one-story house with easy attic space goes faster. A second story or a cramped attic adds labor.
Water damage so far
Soaked flooring or drywall needs dry-out and restoration, a separate scope from our plumbing work. We document it for your insurer.
Is a slab leak more likely in 92807 than in 92808?
On age alone, yes. The median home in 92807 was built in 1976, and seven in ten there went up before 1980. In 92808 the median is 1992. Older copper has had longer to thin, so age-related pinholes are more likely on the western side. Any home can still leak, so we test before we guess.
Westridge was the first neighborhood opened in the planned community. Are its original pipes near the end of their life?
They are among the oldest in the hills. Westridge opened in July 1972, so any original supply line there is past fifty. Age alone does not mean a leak is coming. Watch for a warm spot on the floor or a meter that turns with everything off, and have us test before you plan a repipe.
Our Peralta Hills home is older than the rest of Anaheim Hills. Does that change your approach?
The testing stays the same, but the history matters. Peralta Hills and Mohler Loop were built mainly in the 1940s and 1950s, about twenty years before the 1971 master plan. A home that old may already have been repiped once, so we confirm what is under your floor before we suggest a spot repair or a reroute.
Our house is in The Highlands, off Weir Canyon Road. How old are our pipes likely to be?
Your lines are younger than most in the hills. The city approved East Hills and The Highlands in 1990, and in 92808, the eastern ZIP, the median home dates to 1992. Worn-out copper is less likely there. When those homes leak, it is more often a joint or a damaged spot, and we find it without breaking the slab.
Why does our water report show more than one hardness number?
The supply is a blend of local groundwater and imported water. The 2026 report averaged 316 parts per million for groundwater and 235 for imported water, with readings from 162 to 431. Scale from it builds up in water heaters and shutoff valves, so we check those parts too.
