Who shuts the water off at the street now the utility has changed hands?
Santa Margarita Water District, which assumed the city’s water and sewer system in 2021. The meter and the main belong to them. Every truck carries a standard meter key, so where a house valve has corroded shut we can close it at the curb to work, and the district can do the same.
If nothing needs fixing, what do I owe?
