Lake Elsinore Emergency Plumber, 24/7
A line letting go inside a wall at midnight. A heater emptying across the garage floor. A drain pushing waste back into a downstairs shower. Stop the water, find the failure, repair it on the same visit. That order does not change, and a local truck reaches your driveway inside 60 minutes on any night of the year.
- 60-min response, 24/7/365
- Stop-the-water on first arrival
- Written estimate before any work

One thing to flag: we are an emergency water and drain crew. Pool and spa systems, irrigation, and natural-gas lines fall outside what we do. Burst supply lines, failed water heaters, drain and sewer backups, and leaks inside the house are precisely what we turn out for.
Older valves and hillside pressure both show up here at night.
This city was incorporated in 1888, and while most of its homes are newer, about one in seven went up before 1980. In an older house, the emergency is often the shutoff itself: a gate valve that has not been turned in thirty years and will not close when someone finally needs it to. That is a different call from a modern tract home, and we arrive expecting it.
Higher up the story changes completely. The hillside districts climb from roughly 1,240 feet at the lake to past 2,100 feet, and the water system uses pressure zones to serve that range. A house sitting low in its zone already carries real static pressure. Let the regulating valve fail and that force goes looking for the weakest fitting in the building, which it tends to find at two in the morning rather than at two in the afternoon.
In between, the failures are the ordinary ones. Water heaters past their working life, supply hoses that split with nobody home, angle stops that let go behind a toilet, and sewer laterals that have shifted out of grade over decades. Our emergency truck runs stocked for all of it, and the I-15 runs the length of the city, so distance has never been the reason a Lake Elsinore call takes time.
No Trip Charge
Free diagnosis on every emergency call. No callout fee, no after-hours premium just to show up.
Truck Rolls Day or Night
Burst pipes don't keep business hours. We isolate the line, cap the water, and stop the damage before it spreads.
Same-Trip Repair
Common emergency parts ride on the truck. Most burst-pipe, heater, and angle-stop emergencies are fixed before we leave.
Water emergencies we get called out to in Lake Elsinore
Six failures, one underlying situation: water somewhere it should not be, or none where it should be. Whichever it is, the sequence holds. Contain it first, identify it second, price it in writing, then repair it.
Burst Pipe & Pinhole Leak
Copper that finally gave out, a failed angle stop, a split washing machine hose, a pinhole opening under pressure. We isolate, remove the failed section, and splice in PEX or copper on the same trip. Most burst pipe repair in Lake Elsinore is completed the night we get there.
- Water killed at the nearest working valve
- Failed section removed, new run pressure-tested
- Only the drywall the repair needs comes out
Main Shutoff & PRV Failure
In older homes, seized valves are common. A main that will not close, a regulator stuck open, a weeping stop on the meter side. We replace it on site and take a static reading before we leave.
- Seized main or dead regulator replaced
- Pressure read again before we leave the property
- Utility coordination when the meter is the only option
Water Heater Emergency
No hot water on a weekend, a tank draining onto the garage floor, a relief valve venting steam. We carry 40, 50, and 75 gallon tanks plus the usual tankless service parts.
- 40, 50, and 75 gallon tanks carried
- Tankless service: ignitor, sensor, flush
- Straps and expansion tank brought up to code
Drain & Sewer Backup
A toilet that keeps rising, sewage surfacing in a shower, tubs gurgling across several bathrooms at once. We auger, hydro-jet, and camera the main line during the same visit.
- Augered first, jetted at 4,000 psi where it is warranted
- Lateral inspected on camera afterward
- Buried or missing cleanout located and opened
Toilet, Faucet & Fixture Failure
A toilet overflowing on a failed wax ring, a faucet that will not close, a shower cartridge stuck on hot. All of these parts are on the truck, so most are resolved before we leave.
- Fill valves, wax rings, and stops on board
- Shower cartridges and trim serviced same visit
- Full fixture replacement where repair is false economy
Water Damage & Insurance Assist
Sometimes it let go hours ago and there is ceiling on the carpet by the time we pull up. We document cause of loss, photograph the failed component, and send the scope to your carrier directly.
- Cause of loss recorded the way carriers want it
- Failed part and pressure data photographed
- Direct carrier billing where the policy allows
How we triage an emergency call before we drive.
The first hour decides most of what an emergency ends up costing, and the majority of that hour happens before anyone arrives. So the call itself is treated as part of the job. Our dispatcher works through the urgent steps with you while a technician is already on the road.
Once we are there the order is fixed: contain, diagnose, price in writing, repair. Nothing is opened, pulled, or snaked until you have read the number and agreed to it.
Find the right shutoff, fast
Getting you to a valve is the first thing that happens. Depending on the house that may be a fixture stop, the heater inlet, a hose bib, or the main out front. On older properties the main is sometimes stiff or seized, so we tell you what to try and when to stop trying and move to the meter.
Kill power if needed
Where water is near outlets, near a furnace, or held in a finished ceiling, the breaker goes off before we arrive. If the water heater is the source, that means gas off at the appliance or electric off at the panel.
Truck rolls with common parts aboard
Angle stops, supply lines, PEX, heater fittings, wax rings, fill valves, cartridges, and a drain machine are already loaded. That is the difference between finishing tonight and coming back tomorrow with a part.
On-site contain & diagnose
The first task on arrival is verifying the water really is off and the damage is not still spreading. After that we identify the exact failed component. On a burst supply line that is often obvious within five minutes. On a drain backup it takes longer and needs a camera.
Written estimate, in your hand
Before anything is cut, drilled, snaked, or replaced, you get a written price. The after-hours rate, the parts, and the labor are itemized separately. Where a carrier is likely to be involved, we mark the lines an adjuster will look for.
Repair, test, document
Supply work gets pressure-tested, drains get flow-tested, and heater swaps get relief-valve and gas-pressure checks. Photographs of the failed part and of the finished install go to you, and to your adjuster if there is one.
Most people wait too long. Water doesn't.
Very few people call at the moment they first suspect something. There is nearly always a reason for holding off, and after enough years on this it is the same short list every time.
Taking them one at a time, here is where we stand.
It's the middle of the night.
The line is staffed for exactly that. Every hour of every day gets the same answer, and a call at 2am gets the same truck as one at 2pm.
I'm not sure it's serious enough.
If water is going somewhere it should not, it is worth a call. We will tell you straight what needs dealing with tonight and what will keep until the morning.
I don't know where the leak is.
There is no expectation that you would. Finding it is the first thing we do when we arrive, and nothing needs taking apart before then.
I'm worried about the cost.
A written scope comes before anything is touched. Work only starts once you have approved it, and that holds at every hour of the day.
I already called someone and they can't come.
We can. Sixty minutes across Lake Elsinore and the surrounding area, at any hour, including the ones that go to an answering service elsewhere.
My insurance might cover this.
There is a good chance it does. If so, the documentation is our job: photographs, a written scope, and dealing with your carrier on your behalf.

I had a plumbing problem on the Sunday night of a holiday weekend and had to shut my water off. I made a dozen calls before I found Cali's Choice. Sergio came out and solved the problem, and he was professional and courteous throughout. I cannot thank them enough.
John B and his helper came out on an emergency call to fix a leak at the water supply valve to my toilet. He is knowledgeable, reasonable, professional, and hard-working, and it shows in the work.
The tech came out very fast, and the customer service from both the dispatcher and the tech was great. He fixed the issue in good time, the price was fair, and I would recommend them.
We handle the emergency claim. You don't.
A burst line or a failed heater can go through flooring, drywall, and a ceiling in one night, which puts it among the most heavily evidenced claims a household ever files. The carrier wants cause of loss in writing, photographs of the component that failed, pressure data, and a scope itemized line by line. Leave a gap and the file waits while everything stays wet.
We take that on instead of handing it back. Not an invoice and a phone number for your insurer. The full claim, run from here, starting with the first photograph taken on site.
- Cause of loss, documented properly. Sudden and accidental phrasing, the specific part that failed, be it a heater seam, a supply hose, or an angle stop, together with the build year.
- A full photographic record. The failed component, the damage around it, the static pressure we measured, and the new install. Time-stamped, ordered, captioned.
- The scope, itemized. Emergency work priced against the after-hours rate, with any recommended follow-up, a repipe for instance, scoped on its own line rather than folded in.
- Carrier communication handled by us. The adjuster hears from this office. Challenges get answered here and additional evidence goes out from here.
- Follow-up scope where the night points to something bigger. If the failure traces back to an aged run or a slab line, the recommended reroute or repipe is documented on the same claim.
What a Lake Elsinore emergency call actually costs.
The truthful answer is that it cannot be priced from a website. One overnight call is a couple of hundred dollars for a single angle stop. Another is several thousand for a heater replacement with code upgrades attached. What can be set out here is what decides which of those you are looking at, so the estimate on the tablet is never a surprise.
What moves an emergency call up or down
Which part failed
A stop or a supply hose is the cheapest outcome. A run of copper burst inside a wall costs more. A heater gone with sediment damage attached costs more again. We can place you on that range within ten minutes of arriving.
The hour and the day
Daytime, evening, and overnight or holiday rates all exist and all appear on the tablet before you sign. Nothing is added afterward that was not visible beforehand.
Getting to it
A stop under a sink takes very little time. A pinhole above a finished ceiling takes a great deal more, because opening up, replacing the section, and patching afterward are all part of the same job.
Stocked part or a parts run
The truck carries what these calls normally need. Occasionally it does not, an odd tank size or a cartridge that is not stocked anywhere nearby, and that means a daylight parts run. The schedule shifts, the labor scope does not.
Damage already done
Anything already soaked, drywall, baseboards, flooring, sits under a separate scope for dry-out and reconstruction. It stays off our plumbing invoice and goes into the documentation for your claim.
My EVMWD AquaHawk alert says I might have a leak. Is that an emergency?
It can be. EVMWD’s smart meters let AquaHawk send a text, email, or call when your use looks like a leak. Go check the meter. If the dial spins fast or you see water, close the main and call us. If it’s only creeping, it may be a toilet or a hidden drip, and we can trace it.
More than half the homes here are newer. Can old pipe still be the problem?
Sometimes, but less often. Census data shows 56.6% of Lake Elsinore homes and apartments went up in 2000 or later, and only 14.3% before 1980. In a newer home, an emergency usually starts at a part, like a washer hose, a toilet supply, a valve, or the water heater, rather than the pipe in the walls.
Water is dripping through a ceiling light. What do I do?
Turn off that circuit at the breaker panel right away, and don’t touch the fixture or the switch. Then close the main. Put a bucket under the drip and keep people out of the room. Water over a light usually means a supply or drain line above it. We’ll find which one and stop it.
My water heater is leaking from the bottom. Can it be saved?
It depends where the water comes from. If the drain valve is dripping, we can often replace just that. If the tank itself has rusted through, it can’t be patched. Close the cold valve on top and turn the heater off. Replacement tanks travel on our trucks, so a new one often goes in the same day.
Should I call a plumber or my water district?
If water is leaking on your side of the meter, inside the home or on your own lines, call a plumber. If water is bubbling up at the street or around the meter box itself, call EVMWD, since that’s their equipment. When you’re not sure, call us first and we’ll help you tell which it is.
After the shutoff, how do you track down the source?
With the water stopped, the next job is leak detection. We put acoustic gear on the pipe itself and run a pressure test. That way nobody opens walls hoping to get lucky. If the failure sits in a line inside the slab, slab leak repair usually means a new line overhead. Your floor stays in one piece.
Can you stop the leak tonight and finish the repair later?
Yes, if that’s what makes sense. Sometimes we cap the failed line or loop the supply so you have water tonight, then return for the full fix once parts or access are sorted. You’ll know the plan and the price for both visits before we start, and the temporary fix is never left as the final one.
Do I really pay nothing if you can't fix it?
That’s right. Free diagnosis, you only pay if we fix it. There’s a $0 trip charge, so having us come out costs nothing. When we can fix it, you see a written price first, with the after-hours rate on its own line. Ask about Community Heroes: 5% off, up to $200, on jobs over $500.
Is it safe to stay in the home tonight after a leak?
Usually, once the water is off and any wet circuits are shut down. Keep away from sagging ceilings and wet outlets. If the main has to stay closed overnight, we’ll tell you which fixtures you can still use. Wet drywall and flooring need drying by a separate restoration trade, which isn’t part of our invoice.
Are your technicians licensed?
Yes. Cali’s Choice holds California contractor license CSLB #920054 and has been in business since 2008. The technician at your door is part of our own team. The license number is printed on your paperwork, and you can look it up on the state licensing board’s website any time you like.
