Irvine Emergency Plumber, 24/7

No Trip Fee Free diagnosis on every emergency call. You only pay if we fix it.

A supply line spraying inside a wall? A water heater flooding the garage? A drain backing sewage up into a downstairs shower after hours? We shut the water down first, track the failure second, and repair it before we leave. A local Irvine truck reaches your door within 60 minutes, any hour of any day.

  • 60-min response, 24/7/365
  • Stop-the-water on first arrival
  • Written estimate before any work
  • CSLB #920054

Worth saying up front: we’re an emergency water and drain crew. Pool and spa systems, irrigation, and natural-gas lines aren’t ours. Burst supply lines, failed water heaters, drain and sewer backups, and leaks inside the home are what we come out for.

Emergency Plumbing in Irvine, CA

Why Irvine's older villages generate the after-hours calls they do

Age is the thread running through most of Irvine’s late-night plumbing. The first villages, University Park, Turtle Rock, Woodbridge, and Northwood, went up in the 1970s and early 1980s on copper supply and the water heaters of the day. Four decades on, that copper is thin in spots and those original tanks are long past the 10-to-12-year life they were rated for. A heater that lets go on a weekend, or a pinhole that finally opens at 1am, is the everyday Irvine emergency.

Pressure compounds it. When static pressure climbs past the 60-to-80 psi range a house is plumbed for, usually behind a pressure-regulating valve that has quietly given out, the extra force works on every weak joint at once: angle stops, washer hoses, heater nipples, tired solder. The damage tends to surface while the house is dark and nobody is watching the floor.

Drains round it out. Mature village landscaping sends roots toward sewer laterals, and a line that’s carried four decades of use backs up without much warning. Across Irvine the burst or leaking supply line is the call we field most, with failed heaters and main-line backups right behind. So we keep an emergency truck inside the city, stocked for exactly those three.

What we handle on an emergency call

Irvine water emergencies we answer around the clock

Six versions of one late-night problem: water breaking loose, or hot water gone. The sequence holds, we halt the loss first, then put the permanent repair in writing before opening anything wider.

Burst Pipe or Pinhole

In the older villages, forty-year-old copper gives way, an angle stop blows, a supply hose ruptures, a pinhole opens. We shut it down, remove the failed run, and rejoin in PEX or copper the same night. Most Irvine burst-line work is a single visit.

  • Shut at the meter or a branch valve
  • Failed run swapped and pressure-tested
  • Drywall opened strictly where required
See triage method

Shutoff & Pressure-Valve Failure

A main that won't close, a regulator locked open past 100 psi, a seeping meter stop. The valve built to hold pressure back tends to be the first thing to give. We replace it on site and bring the reading back to spec.

  • Ball valve or regulator replaced
  • Static pressure checked post-install
  • Meter-side shutoff arranged if needed
Why pressure matters

Heater Emergencies

Cold showers on a Sunday, a tank pooling across the slab, a relief valve steaming. We keep 40, 50, and 75 gallon tanks aboard and the usual tankless service parts, so the swap happens the same day.

  • Tank changed out same-day
  • Tankless descale, ignitor, sensor
  • Seismic straps and expansion tank
How we handle it

Sewer & Drain Backups

An overflowing toilet, sewage forced up a ground-floor drain, tubs gurgling across baths. Mature village landscaping pushes roots into the laterals, so we cable, jet, and scope the main on one call.

  • Cable machine or 4,000 psi jet
  • Camera sent down the main line
  • Cleanout traced and accessed
How we clear it

Fixture & Faucet Breakdowns

A toilet seeping at a spent wax seal, a faucet that won't shut, a shower cartridge frozen wide open on hot. The routine parts ride along, so most of these are settled on the first trip.

  • Fill valve, wax seal, riser tube
  • Cartridge and stem rebuilds
  • Faucet, toilet, and stop replacement

Our Method

An Irvine emergency gets triaged before we reach the village.

The failure isn't usually what wrecks the floor, the wait for the right valve is. So while the truck rolls from Irvine Boulevard, our dispatcher coaches you through the first moves, and the water tends to be off by the time we arrive.

Then the on-site order never varies: contain, diagnose, write the estimate, repair. No wall opens until the price is in front of you.

01

Locate your nearest shutoff

By phone we point you to the closest valve, a fixture stop, the heater inlet, a hose bib, or the main out front, and talk you through closing it. Two minutes here is often a ceiling.

02

Switch off power by the water

Water near outlets, a furnace, or a finished ceiling, and we have you trip the breaker before we get there. If the heater's the source, gas off at the unit, electric off at the panel.

03

Stocked truck on the way

It leaves with the everyday emergency parts, angle stops, flex lines, PEX, water-heater fittings, fill valves, cartridges, and a cable machine, so a mid-job parts run is rare.

04

Verify it's contained, then identify

First we confirm the water is off and the failure has stopped growing. Then we pin the exact part, fast on a burst line, slower on a backed-up drain.

05

Written price before any cutting

You get an itemized estimate, after-hours rate, parts, labor, before anything is cut or pulled. With a carrier involved, we flag the lines they'll want.

06

Fix it, test it, log it

Pressure test on supply, flow test on drains, T&P and gas-pressure on heaters. We photograph the old part and the new install and send copies to you and the adjuster.

Six reasons people hesitate

Most homeowners hesitate. The water keeps going.

By the time a leak forces itself on your attention, it has usually been at work for a while. If something is keeping you from calling, it tends to be one of these six.

Where we land on each:

Cali's Choice service van outside a Irvine home at night, lights on, ready to dispatch

It's late and I don't want to bother anyone.

Reach us at any hour, there’s no bad one. A call at 2am draws the same truck and the same response as one at 2pm.

Hidden leak inside a wall cavity: cracked copper supply line dripping behind drywall, baseboard stain just starting to show

I'm not sure this rises to an emergency.

If water is moving where it shouldn’t, it earns a call. We’ll say honestly what needs handling tonight and what can wait for daylight.

Cutaway view of a Irvine home showing supply lines running through walls and a slab leak under the floor — locating it is our job, not yours

I have no idea where the water's coming from.

That’s fine. Finding the source is our first job on site, and there’s nothing you need to take apart ahead of us.

Close-up of a cracked copper supply line dripping inside the wall cavity, behind torn drywall — the kind of failure we scope and price before we open anything

The cost worries me.

You’ll have a written scope before we start, and nothing proceeds without your okay, whatever the hour reads.

A Cali's Choice van rolls into a quiet Irvine neighborhood at night, headlights on, while a homeowner waits inside — 60-minute response, any hour

I tried another plumber and got nowhere.

We’ll be there. The 60-minute response holds across Irvine and the nearby cities, day or night.

Photographs, file folders, and a written scope laid out on a tile floor — the insurance documentation packet we hand you on every covered claim

Could my insurance pick this up?

Quite possibly. If it does, we build the documentation: the photos, the scope, and the direct line to your carrier.

I used Cali's Choice for a kitchen sink that decided to spring a leak. I called a few places with an emergency request and they were the only ones who could make it out within hours. The technician arrived in the window promised, explained everything, made sure it all worked before leaving, and cleaned up. So grateful.

Emergency Plumbing Insurance Claims

Your Irvine emergency claim, handled end to end.

When a burst line or a dead heater takes out flooring, drywall, and ceilings, the claim that follows is one of the more involved a homeowner policy sees. The adjuster will want what's awkward to gather mid-crisis: cause of loss in writing, photos of the part that failed, pressure data, and a scope itemized line by line. A single missing piece can hold the file up for weeks.

So the claim becomes our job, start to finish, instead of an invoice left in your hands.

What we handle on every emergency claim:
  • The cause of loss goes down in the carrier’s own terms, sudden-and-accidental wording, the component that gave out, and the age of the home.
  • The photo set comes together for you, the failed part, the damage around it, the meter pressure reading, and the finished install, each shot dated and labeled.
  • The scope is broken out line by line, the emergency repair at the after-hours rate, any larger follow-up repair on its own line.
  • The adjuster goes through us rather than you, we take the questions, meet the pushback, and send more proof on request.
  • Where the emergency exposes something larger, an aging run or a slab line, we set the recommended repipe or reroute on the same claim so it isn’t lost.

Emergency Plumbing Pricing

What an Irvine emergency call actually costs.

Plainly, a website can't quote an emergency. A late-night burst line could be a few hundred for one stop swap, or several thousand for a heater swap with code work. What we can do is set out the drivers, so the tablet estimate makes sense at a glance.

What the figure rests on

The failed component

A blown stop or supply line sits at the low end. A ruptured run of in-wall copper is higher. A sediment-damaged heater higher still. The first minutes on site settle it.

Hour of the call

A daytime rate, an evening rate, and an overnight-or-holiday rate, posted on the tablet before signing, with nothing slipped in later.

Getting at it

An open stop is fast. A pinhole behind a finished ceiling runs longer, the drywall comes open, the run is replaced, and the patch is in the quote.

Truck stock or a parts run

Most parts ride along. The rare odd heater size or non-stock cartridge waits on a daytime run, lengthening the schedule but not the labor.

Damage already in place

Drywall, baseboard, or flooring soaked before arrival is a separate scope, the dry-out and restoration, documented for the claim, not on our invoice.

What rises to an after-hours emergency?

Water you can’t shut off: a ruptured line, a failed heater, sewage backing up through a fixture, a main that won’t seat. A meter ticking with everything off counts too. A slow drip or trickling faucet can hold for morning, and we’ll say so when you call.

How quickly can a tech reach my Irvine village?

Within the hour across Irvine, day or night. We run from the Irvine Boulevard office, so Northwood and Orchard Hills are minutes away and the Woodbridge and University Park side is a short drive. A stocked truck stays ready for the 92602 and 92620 area.

We're in a newer Great Park home. Still at risk?

The causes shift rather than vanish. Cypress Village, Portola Springs, and the Great Park tracts are too new for aged-copper bursts, but supply-hose failures, angle-stop leaks, and heater faults still happen, and high pressure behind a failing regulator is just as likely in a new build. We respond to all of it the same way.

Where will the main shutoff be in my home?

On most Irvine homes it’s outside on the street-facing wall, usually near a hose bib, phone us and we’ll find it together. A seized valve is no dead end: the curb meter turns off with a standard key from the truck, and your provider can close it there too.

Water stopped, how do you find where it leaked?

That’s our leak detection job, we trace it on the pipe with a pressure test instead of opening walls on a guess. A line below the slab calls for a slab leak repair, an overhead reroute that leaves the floor intact.

Do you pull City of Irvine permits for emergency work?

Heater replacements, gas-line work, and sewer-line jobs are permitted through the City of Irvine building department. In-kind fixes, a burst section of supply, an angle stop, a fixture swap, usually aren’t. We work out which applies and tell you the cost up front.

Can you bill my homeowners insurance directly?

For most major carriers serving Irvine, yes. We work the claim with your adjuster, hand over the cause-of-loss and scope, and bill the covered portion direct, leaving you the deductible.
